Marcy Elementary School in Minneapolis MN, knew they wanted a new wood gymnasium floor to replace the existing carpet. The dilemma was the gymnasium needed to be a multi-purpose room as well, that’s when the school contacted FLR Sanders a local Aacer Sports Flooring Contractor. FLR Sanders recommended Aacer Long-Bond™ Maple due to the multipurpose nature of the product.

Dover AFB goes GREEN with Aacer Sports Flooring
Aacer Flooring is proud to announce the completion of the Dover Air Force Base Fitness Center. Originally, the Air Force and architects at Ewing Cole www.ewingcole.com felt another system was a good fit for their needs. But after repeated conversations with the architect by Aacer and Miller Flooring, Ewing Cole was convinced that the LEED credits and trusted, measured performance of the AacerChannel™ series were too much to ignore. The project bid and Miller successfully won, and so began our installation in the Summer of 2011.
The floor was unveiled at a grand opening in December, ready for use by some of America’s finest service men and women…just in time for a wonderful holiday season. Many thanks from Aacer to our troops!!!

West Chester YMCA Loves PowerVent™
When Miller Flooring told the owners at the West Chester YMCA that moisture issues are inevitable in nearly all floors, it is certain that no one was predicting disaster. But that’s why we install the ScissorLoc™ II with the PowerVent™!
An accident occurred at the West Chester YMCA basketball floor in September, when a ball hit a sprinkler head, causing more than 1,000 gallons of water to flood the area. The YMCA was smart to call Miller Flooring, who then worked with a local disaster restoration company to get the water out of the gym. Then, with commercial fans placed into the gym, and the under floor humidistat combined with the air-blowing action of the PowerVent™ in the subfloor, the floor was on its way to being completely dried out!

Aacer at FSB in Klon Germany
Aacer Sports Flooring was present at FSB 2011, the internationally unique business platform for recreation areas and sports facilities! This is where authorities, operators, planners, construction companies, sport clubs and architects get informed about all the products and solutions surrounding games and sports, leisure and relaxation, fitness and wellness from around the world. Aacer met with many international customers from Russia, China, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Columbia and many others. The show was a great success!
Aacer Sports Flooring Dealers Accredited at 2011 Installation School
Aacer just completed its 2011 Installation School in Peshtigo WI. Aacer had over 40 dealers attend the school and when completed, the dealers walked away with MFMA accreditation and Aacer Mill accreditation. Aacer’s participation with the MFMA accreditation has graduated more than 100 dealers since the inception of this successful program. Aacer’s dealer network continues to grow in strength through continued education ensuring that end users are getting the best quality and service available in the market. Poughkeepsie, NY – Dumont Flooring, in conjunction with Miller Flooring, is proud to announce the completion of the McCann Center at Marist College. The 34-year old facility was retrofit with a ScissorLocTM II subfloor system by Aacer Flooring, complete with the PowerVentTM airflow to ensure environmental control below the Northern hard rock maple surface.
The 150,000 square foot James J. McCann Recreation Center features a field house, a natatorium, two racquetball courts, a 2,200-square-foot dance studio, five locker rooms, a classroom, a sports medicine facility, and a Hall of Fame multimedia meeting room. Described by many college basketball experts as one of the loudest arenas in NCAA® Division 1 sports, the McCann Center houses more than just basketball. Marist has a dynamic sports portfolio, and won the last five MAAC Commissioner’s Cups. The most notorious of their teams, however, is the defending six-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) champion women’s basketball team, who along with the men’s team, will take to their new Aacer floor when practices begin for the Red Foxes in October for the 2011-12 basketball season.

Gonzaga Prep Rolls Out Aacer PowerPlay™
Gonzaga Prep in Spokane Washington just received a brand new floor installed by Eaglecrest Flooring. The new floor was selected out of several competitors because of its performance characteristics and unique ability to provide a solution to difficult site conditions. Mr. Don Tucker owner of Eaglecrest was able to help the school gain the knowledge they needed to make this decision and was also able to meet their critical time schedule. PowerPlayTM is a high performance wood sports floor that will assist the State Champions in many more wins over the next 50+ years! PowerPlayTM was also installed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
