This is what +29,600 cuts looks like

The love of hardwood floors can make you do ridiculous things.  For Joshua Crossman, PTL Hardwoods, his passion, patience and artistic vision beckoned him to create this masterpiece in his company’s showroom. 

He drew inspiration for both the field and the apron from Instagram images.   He knew that one day he would create a floor using those images as the basis of design.   He wanted the floor to echo the feel of European castles and palaces. 

Crossman installed a floating sub-floor.  On top of the concrete is 2 layers of 1/2″ plywood stapled together.  The flooring is glued down onto the plywood layers.
